Villa Alba is a 130 year old Itlalianate mansion in Kew, a suburb in Melbourne's inner east. The house is elaborately decorated and includes artistic furnishings, luxurious bric-a-brac and grand scale murals. The mansion is a significant example of architecture, style and decoration from the second half of the 19th century.
The mansion also has a significant garden which has been interpreted by many horticulturalists. It is currently being restored as a museum and educational facility for the collection, study and display of interior decorations and decorative finishes.
