Rubiks is Melbourne’s newest contemporary art music ensemble, comprising some of Australia’s most exciting and versatile young performers.
As a modular ensemble, the core members of Rubiks shift into an array of different musical environments complimented by a range of acclaimed guest artists from many other established ensembles. All are members or alumni of The Australian National Academy of Music and have collectively appeared in the Sydney and Melbourne International Arts Festivals, Bendigo International Festival of Exploratory Music, Bang on a Can Festival, the Banff Centre Summer Festival and residencies, Peninsula Summer Music Festival, Port Fairy Festival and Huntington Estate Music Festival to name a few.
Together, the ensemble is dedicated to the proliferation and celebration of contemporary music in Australia in all of its contexts. With full creative freedom as a part of Future Classic we’re excited to witness what they have in store for Kew Court House.
