Friends of Boroondara Cemetery (Kew) are holding a special Great War walk Saturday, November 19. The walk will be held at the Kew Cemetery and will take visitors to the graves of soldiers and nurses that served during World War I from 1914 to 1918.
As a special treat, members of the Australian Great War Association, which is comprised of men and women passionate about commemorating the fallen from World War I, will take part in the tour. Many of those who died at Galipoli and in France are remembered simply with family headstones.
The tour starts at 10am and is $10 or free for members of the Friends of Boroondara Cemetery.
