Sophie Koh has delved into her past, exploring influences from her Chinese heritage, her classical roots and her time living in Singapore, New Zealand and Darwin. Hear her speak about her journey and what this new music means to her. Set in a very special intimate performance together she joins accomplished and beautiful string playersCaerwen Martin and Louise Woodward.

Premiering Koh’s upcoming new album Book of Songs, it’s where East meets West. This body of work presents pop songs influenced by Chinese poetry, performed on Western classical instruments.

Koh is a pop songstress who first came to prominence after being Unearthed by Triple J in Darwin in 2003 and has since toured around Australia, and supported acts such as The Go-Betweens, Paul Kelly and Pete Murray to name a few. She was awarded the Best Female Artist in The Age EG Music Awards in 2008.
